Nature is healing. Humans have known this for a long time, and studies have demonstrated it to be true. Being in nature has been shown to have positive impacts on our bodies, minds, and emotions. More and more people are turning to natural environments to get away from the hustle and grind of everyday life, from the clutches of technology, and from the increasing isolation and fracture occurring in our present society. Our earth is important to our healing, just as we are important to taking care of it. This reciprocity is just what we need.
Outdoor Therapy
Sometimes the therapy room can feel like a comfy container. Sometimes being in nature can feel like coming home. It is a container in the biggest way, one in which we can give back to. Doing individual therapy in a natural environment allows for integration of the earth and all of it’s offerings to participate in therapy. Nature will help increase grounding skills, connection, and a sense of freedom and space.
Therapeutic Group Walks/Hikes
This offering is not therapy, but instead is an opportunity to enhance a trail walk or hike in a therapeutic way. With guidance from a professional, you will engage in movement and mindfulness practice that will help build grounded presence, confidence, and a sense of connection.
